Our List of The Best Gran Fondos

How did we determine which were the best Gran Fondos in the world? We’ll admit, that we have not ridden all of them. But, we’ve been huge cycling fans for about 40 years, and have lived through the Team 7-11 Days, Lance Armstrong’s sickness, recovery, dominance and finally his demise.

We’ve ridden the Whistler Gran Fondo a number of times. Also have participated in the Ryder Hesjedal Tour de Victoria each and every year. We’ve also cycled through California, Colorado, Belgium, France, Denmark, Italy and Spain.

The Criteria

So, what criteria did we use to determine the best gran fondos in the world? It’s subjective for sure. We used a blend of local knowledge, scenic beauty, iconic cycling destinations and great events that cyclists rave about.
